Bacoor City, November 29, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, in partnership with Strike As One Hope, the Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA), and the Philippine Foundation for Vaccination, held a community outreach program at the Bacoor City Hall Main Lobby. The event, dubbed “RAISING AWARENESS ON INFLUENZA TO SUPPORT ELDERLIES (RAISE) COMMUNITY OUTREACH 2024,” aimed to promote influenza vaccination among senior citizens and provide them with essential health information.
The event was attended by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Congresswoman Lani Mercado Revilla, Coun. Monching Bautista, LnB Vice President Randy Francisco, Kuya Noly Galvez, Dra. Maria Christina Alberto (Strike As One Hope), DOH USEC Glenn Matthew G. Banggao, Atty. Venus De Castro (OSCA Head), Dra. Maria Rosario Capeding (President, Philippine Foundation for Vaccination), Ms. Maricel Undas (Project Development Officer IV, National Commission of Senior Citizens), and Dr. Lulu Bravo (Philippine Foundation for Vaccination).
The program included interactive sessions where senior citizens learned about the importance of influenza vaccination and its benefits in protecting them from the risks associated with the virus. The event also provided a platform for senior citizens to receive their flu shots, ensuring their health and well-being.
The community outreach program highlighted the City Government of Bacoor’s commitment to the health and safety of its senior citizens.
