The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a vibrant Flag Raising Ceremony at the Strike Gymnasium last November 18, 2024. The event, organized by the Philippine National Police (PNP), led by Bacoor PNP Chief PLtCol John Paulo Carracedo brought together a diverse group of participants, including city employees, representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and various government agencies like the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Department of Education (DepEd).
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer delivered by Rev. Phil Depatillo, followed by the entrance of colors presented by PNP Bacoor personnel. The Philippine National Anthem was performed by the League as Zone Drum and Bugle Corps, setting a patriotic tone for the event.
The ceremony featured several symbolic oaths, including the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas (Oath to the Philippine Flag) led by Patrolwoman Giselle Ersando, the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan (Oath of Public Service) by Patrolwoman Michaella Quilala, and the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas (Pledge to the New Philippines) by Patrolwoman Josephine Hate. NUP Krystelle Kaye Lopez delivered the Quality Policy Statement, emphasizing the commitment to excellence and service.
The event also included a captivating audio-visual presentation showcasing the achievements of the PNP Bacoor, followed by a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla. The mayor highlighted the importance of national unity and the role of the PNP in ensuring peace and security in the community.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions. The winners of the Regional Science and Technology Fair, held in Lucena City from November 13-14, 2024, were recognized for their exceptional achievements in robotics and life sciences. The Bacoor Home Children’s Chorus, led by Dra. Tina Alberto, received accolades for their impressive performance at the Sing ‘n’ Joy Bohol 2024, Philippine International Choral Competition.
The ceremony concluded with a guest speaker address by PMGEN Mario Reyes, Director for Logistics of the Philippine National Police. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and partnership between the PNP and the community in achieving common goals.
The Flag Raising Ceremony served as a powerful reminder of the importance of national unity, community engagement, and the dedication of the PNP to serving and protecting the citizens of Bacoor. The event showcased the city’s commitment to fostering a safe and prosperous environment for all.
