The City of Bacoor is in mourning following the passing of beloved Bishop Teodoro Javier Buhain, Jr. on November 13, 2024, at the age of 87. Bishop Ted, a native of Bacoor, was a pillar of faith and inspiration for the community. He was ordained a priest at the young age of 23, becoming one of the youngest Bishops in the country.
Throughout his life, Bishop Ted touched countless lives, mentoring priests and offering guidance to many. He was more than a friend to many, but a true pillar of strength and wisdom for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters in Christ.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla personally visited the wake to offer his condolences to the family and expressed the City’s deepest sympathies. “Bishop Ted was a true Bacooreño who dedicated his life to serving others. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him,” said Mayor Revilla.
The details of the wake and funeral mass will be announced soon. The City of Bacoor joins the community in mourning the loss of this remarkable man. Rest in peace, Bishop Ted. Your legacy of faith and service will forever be remembered.
