Bacoor City – The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) office, today provided financial assistance to fire victims through the TUPAD program. The initiative, supported by Team Revilla, Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Agimat Partylist, and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region IV-A, aims to provide temporary employment and income for those affected by the recent fire.
The event, held at the Bacoor City Hall Main Lobby, saw 188 beneficiaries receive financial assistance. Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Coun. Alex Felizardo Gutierrez, Coun. Monching Bautista, Ex. Kap Udoy Brillantes, Doc Abraham De Castro (head of PESO), and Ms. Khei Sanchez (representing Mayor Strike B. Revilla), were present to distribute the aid. DOLE representatives Mr. Constancio Piedad III and Mr. Jonathan Yaun were also present.
“The City Government of Bacoor is committed to helping our residents recover from the devastating fire,” said Mayor Strike B. Revilla. “This TUPAD program is a tangible way for us to provide immediate assistance and support to those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.”
The program, which is a joint effort between the City Government and DOLE, aims to provide temporary employment opportunities for those affected by the fire, enabling them to earn income while they work on rebuilding their lives. The TUPAD program, which stands for “Trabaho, Pangkabuhayan, at Kapaligiran,” is a government initiative that provides short-term employment opportunities to vulnerable sectors in the community.
