Bacoor City, October 21, 2024 – The City Government of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, hosted a flag raising ceremony today at the Strike Gymnasium, showcasing the city’s commitment to public service and recognizing outstanding achievements. The event was graced by Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Sangguniang Panglungsod members, department heads, unit heads led by Atty. Aimme T. Neri, City employees, DILG family, PNL/BFP/BJMP/BTMD, DepEd Bacoor, Osca members, PWD representatives, and various NGOs.
The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt opening prayer by Pastor Cesar Roxas from the Bacoor City Transformation Office. The entrance of the color guard, composed of PNP Bacoor personnel, added a touch of solemnity to the occasion. The Bacoor Unity Band performed the Philippine National Anthem, followed by the Oath of Allegiance led by Rocky Alcantara. Irene Limon led the Oath of Public Service, while Anna Leviste delivered the Pledge of the New Philippines. Rowena Garcia presented the City’s Quality Policy Statement. The CavSu Bacoor Choir and Unity Band concluded the ceremony’s first part with a rendition of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn.
Hon. Rogelio “BOK” Nolasco, City Councilor – District 2, delivered opening remarks. The ceremony also included a special recognition of outstanding individuals and achievements: Hanna Marie T. Dela Cruz, Angelica D. Pacis, and Johanna Alaine S. Labadan, all Cum Laude graduates of Cavite State University – Bacoor City Campus, were awarded for their academic excellence.
The City of Bacoor received several awards and recognitions, including: 5th Top Performing City in the Philippines by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF), Special Recognition from the Philippine Red Cross for supporting the Dugong Kabitenyo, Lahing Rebolusyonaryo Bloodletting Activity, Best in ITIS Implementation for 2023 in the Province of Cavite, Top 2 for the highest number of Barangays which implemented the Oral Health Program during the National Oral Health Month Celebration, and Commendable and unwavering support during the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
The ceremony also featured a presentation of the CSWD Nutrition Unit by Ms. Tin Elalto, a culminating activity showcasing dress creations by dressmaking students using recycled materials (organized by the City Livelihood and Development Office), and an accomplishment report by Atty. Aimee T. Neri, OIC head of the City Information and Community Relation Department. Engr. Kenneth Benedicto, Provincial Officer of DICT Cavite, delivered a special message, followed by a special message from Mayor Strike B. Revilla, delivered by Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola.
The flag raising ceremony concluded with a performance by the CICRD Band. The event served as a testament to the City Government of Bacoor’s dedication to public service, community development, and the pursuit of excellence.
