Bacoor City, August 27, 2024 – The Office of the Senior Citizen Association (OSCA) hosted a meeting today with representatives from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) and the Federation of Senior Citizens. The meeting, held at the Mayor’s Office, aimed to discuss the E-Konsulta program, a telehealth initiative offered by PhilHealth that provides access to medical consultations and laboratory services for senior citizens.
In attendance were Mayor Strike B. Revilla, former Mayor of Maragondon Mr. Monte Andaman, Dr. Jane Andaman, Internal Medicine Specialist at Saint Dominic Hospital, Ms. Darlene Albano, Social Insurance Officer II, Ms. Alma Fortaleza, Social Insurance Officer III, and OSCA Head Atty. Venus De Castro. Senior Citizen officers also participated in the discussion.
The E-Konsulta program offers a significant benefit to senior citizens, providing 1,700 annual check-ups that cover consultation and laboratory costs. Mayor Revilla expressed his gratitude to PhilHealth for providing this valuable service, emphasizing its importance in ensuring the health and well-being of Bacoor’s senior citizens.
The meeting served as a platform for open dialogue and information sharing, ensuring that senior citizens in Bacoor are well-informed about the E-Konsulta program and its benefits. This initiative underscores the commitment of both the local government and PhilHealth to improving access to healthcare for all.
