The Office of Population and Development, in collaboration with FriendlyCare Foundation Inc., Office of the City Health Services, and the Commission on Population and Development Wellness Clinic Team, organized a groundbreaking event titled “Family Planning Outreach Mission on Progestin Sub-dermal Implant.”
Distinguished guests included Ms. Teresita D. Panganiban, President & CEO of FriendlyCare Foundation, Ms. Mayna Canillo, FP Program Officer from the Center for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), along with Chi Chi Huang and Natalee Hung.
The event catered to women of Reproductive Age (WRA) and aimed to promote awareness and adoption of modern family planning methods, specifically the Progestin-Only Sub-dermal Implant (PSI). By providing education on the benefits and effectiveness of the PSI, the mission sought to empower women to make informed choices about their reproductive health.
The outreach mission was a resounding success, with 74 women opting to receive the Progestin-Only Subdermal Implant (PSI), a significant step towards increasing access to family planning options.
This impactful event took place today August 1, 2024, marking a positive milestone in promoting women’s health and reproductive rights.
