The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, in collaboration with the Office for the Development of Cooperatives (COOP) headed by Ms. Vicenta M. Lazaro, organized a workshop on the “Fundamentals of Cooperative” for registered cooperatives within Bacoor City.
The workshop focused on educating participants about the core values that guide cooperatives and their operation based on democratic principles. With this, participants had the opportunity to explore case studies of successful cooperative models and learn about the key factors contributing to their success. Additionally, they delved into how cooperatives positively influence local communities through sustainable and inclusive business practices, emphasizing their role in community development.
The workshop, scheduled for June 25-26, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Bulwagan ng Liga ng mga Barangay, provided a platform for cooperative members to engage in interactive sessions, discussions, and practical exercises.
