The City Government of Bacoor, under the leadership of Mayor Strike B. Revilla, organized a Family Planning Outreach Mission on Progestin Sub-dermal Implant in collaboration with the Office of Population and Development, FriendlyCare Foundation Inc., USAID’s ReachHealth Project, and the Commission on Population and Development Wellness Clinic Team.
The outreach mission targeted Women of Reproductive Age (WRA) with the aim of raising awareness and promoting the adoption of modern family planning methods, specifically the Progestin-Only Sub-dermal Implant (PSI). By providing education on the benefits and effectiveness of PSI, the program empowered women to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
The highlight of the mission was the successful outcome, with 64 women opting to receive the Progestin-Only Subdermal Implant (PSI) during the event held yesterday, June 26, 2024.
