Last June 9, 2024, the City Government of Bacoor and the Drum and Bell Corps Organization of the Philippines Inc., in partnership with the Percussive Arts Society (Philippine Chapter), successfully hosted the 5th National Competition of the Drum and Bell Corps Organization of the Philippines Inc.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from 14 marching bands hailing from various regions including Bicol, Laguna, Cavite, Quezon City, Camarines Norte, Isabela, Bulacan, Rizal, and Caloocan.
The competition was divided into four categories: Junior Class A and Junior Class B for elementary schools, and Senior Class A and Senior Class B for open class participants.
The performing bands showcased their talents in an array of impressive routines. The winners of the competition were:
Class A Elementary: 1st place – San Gabriel 1 Elementary School
Class B Elementary: 1st place – Partida Elementary School
Class A Open: 1st place – WMP
Class B Open: 1st place – Jose Panganiban Elementary School
The event concluded with the awarding ceremony, where winners were honored for their outstanding performances, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees. The success of this event marks another milestone in the city’s rich tradition of supporting the arts and local talent.
