At the flag raising ceremony this morning, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla highlighted several nationwide occasions being observed this month of August: National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, National Nutrition Month, and National History Month. Several local initiatives were also announced including the launching of the Biggest Loser campaign of the City Health Office and Strike Fitness and Sports, the anti-smoking campaign of the City Health Office and City Information Office, and the new TESDA Scholarship Programs available in partnership with the City Livelihood and Development Office through the Revilla Center. The City Government of Bacoor also took the occasion to award scholarship grants courtesy of the City Livelihood and Development Office, certificates of commendation to the PNP Bacoor personnel and Bacoor Chief PSupt Vicente Cabatingan, and certificates of recognition to the Grand Champions of the Pinoy Henyo Kids of EAT Bulaga who reside in Molino4 namely Samantha Saporna, Rhaycel Angela Seblario, and Ezekiel John Trinidad.
