Digman Halo-halo, known for its freshly prepared “sandosenang sangkap” made daily, was established by Nene Gonzales around the 1930s. She initially sold her halo-halo in repurposed evaporated milk cans, later upgrading to old coffee glasses in the 1970s. Back then, each serving was sold for just 50 centavos. Today, the business is run by her son Boy Gonzales and his wife Minda, who have not only sustained their family through it but also sent their children to school.
