June 8, 2026 — The City Government of Bacoor conducted its weekly Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday at the S.T.R.I.K.E. Gymnasium, hosted by the Office of Population Development. The event was attended by members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod, led by Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, along with city officials, department heads, and employees.
The ceremony began with an opening prayer led by Pastor Sandy Buendia of the City Transformation Office, followed by the entrance of colors by personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection. The Philippine National Anthem was performed by the City Unity Band.
Several civic pledges were led by city representatives, including the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas by Ms. Angelica Lambating, the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan by Mr. Wilson Mallari, and the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas by Ms. Charito Guanzon. Ms. Clari Belle Medrano delivered the Quality Policy Statement before the playing of the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, Cavite Hymn, and the City Hymn through an audio-visual presentation.
City Councilor Palm Angel Buncio, SK Federation President and Chairman of Barangay Molino IV, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the importance of unity, collaboration, and continued progress for the people of Bacoor.
A recognition program followed, honoring outstanding residents of the city, including Latin Honors graduates, Board and Bar Examination passers, and other distinguished individuals who have brought pride and honor to Bacoor through their achievements.
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City Government of Bacoor, Bacoor National High School–Molino Main, and the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) CALABARZON. The partnership aims to strengthen population development initiatives and enhance programs benefiting the city’s youth and communities.
An audio-visual presentation showcased the accomplishments and ongoing programs of the Office of Population Development under the leadership of Ms. Emilie De Castro.
Guest speaker Ms. Marilyn Ogaya-Madem, Regional Director of CPD CALABARZON, delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of population and development programs in building resilient and empowered communities. The program also featured an intermission performance by 4Ps Parent Leaders and personnel from the Office of Population Development.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla concluded the ceremony by presenting the city’s weekly accomplishment report and reaffirming the local government’s commitment to delivering quality public service and advancing programs that improve the lives of all Bacooreños.
The flag raising ceremony served not only as a platform for recognizing achievements and strengthening partnerships but also as a reflection of the city’s continued dedication to inclusive growth, community development, and public service excellence.
