STRIKE Gymnasium, November 3, 2025 – The City of Bacoor, through its Office for the Agricultural Services, held a Flag Raising Ceremony today at the STRIKE Gymnasium to celebrate National Rice Awareness Month and Organic Agriculture Month 2025.
The ceremony commenced with an opening prayer led by Reverend Father Mark Anthony Reyes of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish Springville Heights, Molino, followed by the Entrance of Colors by BFP Bacoor Personnel and the Philippine National Anthem performed by the Bacoor Unity Band. Various pledges were recited, including the Panunumpa sa Watawat, Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan, Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, Quality Policy Statement, Be RICEPonsible Pledge, and Panatang Makabata (c/o PNP Bacoor for the 33rd National Children’s Month). The AVP Harmonic Voice Chorale of Cavite State University Bacoor Campus performed the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn, Cavite Hymn, and Bacoor Hymn.
The program included an opening remarks by Hon. Simplico Dominguez, City Councilor of Bacoor – District 2, followed by the presentation and awarding of Certificates of Recognition to Latin Honor Awardees. Awards received by the City of Bacoor, led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, and PESO Bacoor, led by Dr. Abraham Domingo De Castro, were also presented. Additionally, an award received by the PNP Bacoor, headed by PLtCol Alexia Desamito, was showcased.
During the ceremony, the Bacoor Agricultural Multi-Purpose Cooperative received interventions from the Department of Agriculture through the City Government of Bacoor, including a set of garden tools, a knapsack sprayer, soil conditioner, and plastic crates, to support their community gardening activities. A video message from Secretary of Agriculture Mr. Francisco “Kiko” P. Tiu Laurel Jr. and Committee Chairperson on Agriculture, Food and Agrarian Reform Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan was presented. An Accomplishment Report from the Office of the Agricultural Services, headed by Mr. Allan Chua, was also shown via AVP. The event featured RD Sammy A. Malvas, CESO V, Regional Director of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, IV-A, as the Guest Speaker. A special message from Hon. Strike B. Revilla, City Mayor of Bacoor, was delivered by City Administrator Atty. Aimee Torrefranca-Neri. The event highlighted the city’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and recognizing outstanding achievements in the community.
