A meeting between the City Government of Bacoor and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) was held on April 8, 2026 at the SBR Conference Room to discuss the implementation of the “Free WiFi for All” Program in the city.
The meeting was led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla and organized through Mr. Lodgene Asuncion, Head of MIS/E-Government. Also in attendance were Atty. Aimee Torrefranca-Neri (City Administrator), Ms. Jo Ricardo (Chief of Staff of Cong. Lani M. Revilla), Mr. Adrian Barrera (DICT Region IV-A Cavite, Engineer II), and Mr. Jonathan Mendoza (Service Contractor, Revlv Solutions Inc., NOC Engineer).
During the meeting, it was reported that 66 out of 93 Free WiFi sites are already operational. DICT representatives committed to completing all 93 sites within the month of April. The program will provide free internet access across all 47 barangays and 47 public schools in Bacoor.
To promote responsible use, pornographic sites, gambling platforms, and mobile games are blocked on the network.
