5th Floor Resilience Bldg, September 8, 2025 – In a bid to bolster the cybersecurity defenses of local businesses, the City Government of Bacoor, through its LEDIPO (Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office), hosted a “MSME’s Cyber Hygiene for Business” training event today. The initiative was organized in collaboration with the Philippine Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Development Foundation, Inc. (PCCI HRDF), in partnership with the Cyber Peace Institute and the Global Cyber Alliance, with support from Google.org under the APAC Cyber Security Fund of The Asia Foundation.
Mayor Strike B. Revilla emphasized the importance of cybersecurity for the city’s growing MSME sector. PMAJ Mariz Roxanne Datiles Caraan, Team Leader of the Cavite Provincial Cyber Crime Response Team, provided insights into the current cyber threat landscape. Seasoned Cyber Hygiene Facilitators & Master Trainers, Mr. Roy Abenaza and Mr. Raf Lopez, led the training sessions.
The APAC Cyber Hygiene Training aims to equip businesses, individuals, and organizations with the knowledge and tools to protect themselves online. Sixty business owners from Bacoor City participated in the training, gaining valuable skills to safeguard their operations from cyber threats.
