April 8, 2026 — The City Government of Bacoor and the Liga ng mga Barangay held their monthly meeting led by LnB President Rafael Paterno III, gathering all 47 Barangay Chairpersons across the city to discuss programs, updates, and key initiatives for the community.
The meeting was attended by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, Councilor Karen Sarino Evaristo, and LnB Vice President Randy Francisco.
Among the key agenda items discussed were updates and presentations from the Development Bank of the Philippines and PhilHealth, water waste management initiatives in partnership with Alfamart, and an update on the Open Muffler Campaign presented by Leslie Dianne Morales.
Other matters included proposals to require security guards for subdivisions and convenience stores, participation of the Liga in the upcoming birthday celebration of Lani Mercado-Revilla on April 13, and a report regarding funds deposited to the Liga following a recent seminar.
During the meeting, Mayor Strike also shared several important reminders and initiatives for barangay leaders:
• Exploring the diversion of infrastructure funds to provide rice assistance for residents affected by rising fuel prices
• Expanding the feeding program from District 1 (Talaba) to District 2
• Strengthening the implementation of the E-SBR Card system
• Maintaining peace and order across barangays
• Clearing trees near Meralco power lines for safety
• Conducting regular weekend clean-up drives
• Encouraging early voter registration with Commission on Elections before May 18
• Informing residents about available financial assistance, burial assistance, and guarantee letters from the city government
• Promoting the Kasambahay program to ensure proper documentation of household workers in the city
The meeting reinforced the strong collaboration between the city government and barangay leaders, ensuring that community programs, safety initiatives, and social services continue to reach every Bacooreno.
