Office of the Mayor, Bacoor City – June 8, 2026 — Four student-athletes from Bacoor City who qualified for the 2026 Philippine Athletics Championships paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Strike B. Revilla ahead of their participation in the national competition set to take place from June 10 to 14 in New Clark City.
Accompanying the athletes were Coach Joseph A. Hate and Mr. Rob Saluna of the City Sports and Wellness Department, along with other city sports representatives from various disciplines.
The student-athletes who earned slots in the prestigious national meet are Carl Darren Francisco, Jeremiah Montierde, Angela N. Maristela, and Louisa Altarejos. Their qualification reflects their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence in athletics, bringing pride and honor to the City of Bacoor.
During the visit, Mayor Strike B. Revilla expressed his support and encouragement for the athletes as they prepare to compete against some of the country’s best young talents.
“Manalo man o matalo, ang importante ay lumaban at may natutunan. Bonus na lang kung manalo sa laban – enjoy the game!” Mayor Strike said, reminding the athletes to value the experience, give their best effort, and enjoy the competition.
The City Government of Bacoor continues to support programs that nurture athletic development and provide opportunities for young athletes to showcase their talents on larger platforms. As Bacoor’s representatives take on the national stage, they carry with them not only their personal aspirations but also the pride and support of the entire city.
