General Trias City, September 17, 2025 – Mayor Strike B. Revilla and the City Government of Bacoor extended a helping hand to residents relocated from Barangay Zapote 3 due to the LRT South (Cavite) Extension Project. Food packs and financial aid were distributed to families now residing in the LRTA Subdivision in Barangay Santiago, General Trias City.
The initiative was spearheaded by the city’s Housing Urban Development & Resettlement Department (HUDRD), under the leadership of City Administrator Atty. Aimee Torrefranca-Neri, and the BDRRMO, headed by Mr. Richard Quion. Mayor Revilla made a personal visit to the relocation site to oversee the distribution and connect with the families.
Joining Mayor Strike were k Coun. Karen S. Evaristo, Barangay Zapote 3 Kapitan Erning De Rosas, General Trias City Vice Mayor Jonas Glyn P. Labuguen, representatives from General Trias City’s Community Affairs, and LRT-1 South Cavite Extension Project Manager, Mr. Joseph Dexter Buenconsejo.
The assistance provided included Php 18,000 in financial aid from the LRTA and food packs from the DSWD, all facilitated by the Bacoor LGU. Mayor Strike expressed his appreciation to the LRTA, DSWD, and the local government of General Trias, specifically thanking Mayor Jon-Jon Ferrer and Congressman Ony Ferrer, for their warm welcome and support of the relocated families. He also reassured the beneficiaries, emphasizing the proximity of their new homes and the opportunity to build a fresh start.
