ULSAN, SOUTH KOREA — September 10, 2026 — The City of Bacoor was bestowed with two prestigious honors at the World Smart City Expo 2026: the Award for Best Partnership and the Contribution Award, recognizing the city’s remarkable progress and dedication over the past three years of consistent efforts.
Invited through its valued partner RMN represented by Sir David Lee, the Bacoor delegation led by Mayor Strike B. Revilla proudly received the awards during the ceremony. The event gathered city leaders, technology innovators, and funding experts from across the globe to share breakthrough solutions in building smarter, more resilient communities.
Beyond the recognition, the delegation also participated in the K‑Smart City Business Partnership Day, where leading Korean firms presented advanced innovations — from AI‑powered safety systems and pedestrian data platforms to privacy‑friendly smart technologies. Important discussions were also held with institutions such as the Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF), exploring financing opportunities to help upgrade public services and infrastructure.
The awards and productive exchanges pave the way for concrete improvements in Bacoor. Through these partnerships, the city aims to harness modern technologies — including Artificial Intelligence — to deliver faster, better services and raise the quality of life for every Bacooreño.
