At this morning’s flag raising ceremony, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla expressed her gratitude to Ella Guinto, head of the City Agriculture Office, for her many years of public service.

Mayor Lani cited the office’s many achievements under the leadership of Ms. Ella. In 2015, Bacoor was among the Top 100 Municipalities of the FishR program of the Department of Agriculture. In 2016, Bacoor was given the Gawad Saka Awardee as the Most Outstanding Municipality/City Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources.

She added, “I have known Ma’am Ella Guinto since I became Congresswoman. Kasama ko siya sa programa nating kasama ang mga mangingisda at mga magsasaka. Dama ko ang kanyang matapat, sinsero, at awtentikong malasakit para sa kanila kung kaya’t ibinuhos niya ang malaking bahagi ng kanyang buhay para lalong mapaganda ang kalidad ng kanilang buhay. Tunay na namumukod at nangingibabaw ang achievements and accomplishments ng City Agriculture Office sa ilalim ni Ma’am Ella.”

“To Ma’am Ella, in behalf of the City Government of Bacoor and not just our farmers and fisherfolk but all Bacooreños, thank you. We salute you and we thank you for your sterling legacy of dedicated public service and integrity. Enjoy your retirement confident in the fact that you have done well for our city and our people.”

Mayor Lani likewise highlighted the events of the past week including the launch of TODA-ALERT 161 by the City Government and the Leadership and Skills Enhancement Training Seminars provided by the Provincial Government of Cavite for barangay captains and barangay tanods.
